Advice
Start research early if you're considering it as a career option/want to do it for fun during undergrad. The earlier you start the more time you have to work on your project and the more autonomy you will have in the lab later on.

I loved being able to work in the lab for long hours without any distractions from homework.
What I wish was different
My lab is in a basement, so seeing the sun more often would have been nice! Overall it was a great experience.
Advice
Get on trying to find research as soon as you can, if you want to do research. Talk to professors, make friends with classmates, and be involved in class.

The support from the supervising RCD and ARCD was immensely helpful, and my residents were a great group of people.

The location in which I was placed did not have air conditioning, which caused a lot of special considerations when programming for residents in the summer.
