Summer Intern/Biology Intern

Description of Department:
The goal of the Tumor Cell Targeting Research Unit (TCT RU) is to develop novel medicines exploiting tumor-selective biology through several modalities.
Job Description:
This position will allow the selected candidate to develop an understanding of the drug-development process and contribute to the development of new therapies by exploring the mechanism of action of novel medicines as single agents and in combination with approved therapies.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
  • Must be able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week internship cycle (May-July/August)
  • Must have an active student status and/or within 12 months post-graduation from a BS or MS degree program. Post-doctoral candidates are not eligible.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Basic understanding of biology, cancer, and/or immunology.
  • Basic understanding of standard molecular biology techniques.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check prior to assignment target start date.
  • Must provide your own funding for relocation and commuting.
