Position Summary:
This position will assist with the preparation and reporting of stability, compatibility testing. Prepare batch formulations according to batching processes, test specifications and report results.

Essential Functions / Key Results Areas:
Responsibilities will vary based on the department assigned to the Intern and could include:

  • Create a portfolio of work completed including but not limited to: summary of project worked on and list of others involved; covered learning from an execution/application standpoint and from a cross-functional engagement perspective; final presentation to senior management at end of the Internship will be expected.
  • The Supervisor/Mentor will provide feedback to the Intern on the overall progress, as a process check to ensure the objectives, timelines and expectations regarding the project work are being met. The Supervisor/Mentor will gather feedback from the Intern regarding the program.
  • Escalates in a timely manner any equipment or process variances.
  • Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent and that absences are appropriately communicated and approved in advance.
  • Other duties that may reasonably be assigned from time to time by management / supervision.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from recognized institution or organization.
  • Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with an anticipated graduation date within two years.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, without visa sponsorship.

Experience / Knowledge

  • Demonstrated core values, professionalism, maturity through various campus or community sports, volunteer activities, or previous work history preferred.
  • Must be in good standing with accredited institution where candidate is pursuing degree.

Competencies / Skills:

  • MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills. Understanding of other technology platforms would be a plus.
  • Problem solving, project management and communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to operate in a team.
  • Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.
  • Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and telephone to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • This position will primarily work in an office environment. 
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • This position may require evening and weekend work depending on business needs.
