Sales Internship - Waterworks

Ferguson Waterworks is looking for an intern to join our team in a 15-week internship program starting in Summer 2022. Over the course of the internship, you will be exposed to a variety of facets within the Waterworks business. Ferguson approaches training from a "hands on" point of view. We believe in growing our associates from the ground up.

Through our internship program, you will be introduced to the warehouse and counter where you will gain credibility and learn extensive product knowledge in a short period of time. You will also be given the opportunity to explore our sales and operations departments. You will learn the value of developing and maintaining customer relationships as well as understand our business from a “big picture” perspective. Our internship program will allow you to explore your strengths and career interests. Most of all, our internship program will provide you with real, hands-on business experience that will supplement your classroom education.

The internship will be held in Columbus, Ohio. Housing and travel expenses are not provided.

Intern Job Responsibilities:

  • Understands the overall concept of the company and specific WW business group, including the brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service.
  • Rotates through our divisions of responsibility and provides ideas to grow and improve the business.
  • Accepts designated, business-focus projects to research, propose ideas and solutions, and present final project during the internship.
  • Engages with customers or clients and provides service and/or sales.
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer service and internal processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be in the process of obtaining a bachelor or associate degree from an accredited institution.
  • Must be in a rising sophomore status or higher, but not yet graduated.
  • Able to learn and become proficient on internal software systems.
