Summer Finance Intern
This Summer Finance Intern position will have an opportunity to gain valuable experience working in the corporate office with a talented and dedicated Finance team. The intern will perform and be trained in various assignments and responsibilities with a cross-functional team.
Essential Functions / Key Results Areas:
Responsibilities will vary based on the projects and team assigned to the Intern and could include:
• Assist with a wide range of financial accounting responsibilities including analyzing data, preparing financial reports with conclusions, and learning about varied general ledger accounting principles.
• Assist with Tax department in completion of tax return filings and preparation.
• Assist with Internal Audit team with control testing and documentation.
• Assist with FP&A in project modeling and forecasting.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications:
• Must be actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with an anticipated graduation date within two years.
• Finance, Accounting and Business majors preferred. Or at least 12+ credits with accounting and finance course.
• Candidates must be authorized to legally work in the United States, without visa sponsorship.
Experience / Knowledge
• Demonstrated core values, professionalism, maturity through various campus or community sports, volunteer activities, or previous work history preferred.
• Must be in good standing with accredited institution where candidate is pursuing degree.
Competencies / Skills:
• MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills. Understanding of other technology platforms would be a plus.
• Problem solving, project management and communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to operate in a team.
• Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly and on time.
• Approaches others in a tactful manner; reacts well under pressure; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions; follows through on commitments.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• This position will primarily work in an office environment. No remote option.
