Venture Capital Investor Relations Associate

Position Overview:
Bloccelerate VC is currently seeking an investor relations associate intern to serve as a key member of the fundraising team. As an Investor Relations Associate Intern, you will work directly with general partners in understanding macroeconomic trends and shifting investment appetites. Informed by the markets and high impact blockchain use cases Bloccelerate invests in you will source, qualify and engage with existing and prospective investors. This will expose you to live deals and transactions, enhancing your investing acumen, and develop the key skill of fundraising. This is a tremendous opportunity to get real experience through performing market research, thinking critically about the changing VC and Blockchain landscape, and cultivating relationships with ultra-high net worth individuals(UHNWs), family offices (FOs), registered investment advisors (RIAs) and institutional investors(IIs). You will be provided access to the CRM system & a database of leads to work on.

Responsibilities include:
  • Researching and studying market investment behavior
  • Sourcing, contacting and providing intel on prospective investors
  • Creating pitch, webinar and keynote collaterals
  • Driving attendance to and hosting webinars
  • Corresponding with prospective investors in line with fundraising process
  • Corresponding with existing investors on available co-investment opportunities
  • Working with portfolio companies to host co-investor sessions
  • Weekly meetings with fundraising working group
  • Incorporating Bloccelerate’s 6-fold value system into your own practice


What you’ll learn:
In this internship you will enhance your investment acumen, improve your blockchain literacy, gain insight into VC fundraising, grow in your network of UHNWIs, FOs, RIAs and IIs


Qualifications:
~40 hrs per week (hours for individual weeks are flexible to accommodate for varying academic workload)
Knowledge of blockchain/tech industry is preferred
Prior experience in investments is preferred
Self-Starter who performs well independently
Critical thinker with long term & global market view
Diligent attention to detail & ability to follow up 
Ability to overcome objections & listen

This position is full-time during the summer and can be continued part-time in the fall when classes begin.
