WorkWell NYC Program Director

Job Description
The WorkWell NYC Program Director reports to the Assistant Commissioner of Workforce Engagement and Innovation and is responsible for the overall expansion and utilization of wellness programs at City of New York worksites to create workplaces that engage and empower employees to live healthy, active lifestyles, and to provide health and well-being services, programs, and resources. Under administrative direction, with the widest latitude for the exercise of independent judgment and initiative performs tasks such as the following:

1. Develops the strategic direction, staffing and budgetary priorities for WorkWell NYC
2. Provides leadership and direction to WorkWell NYC staff for planning, conducting, and coordinating city-wide and agency specific initiatives
3. Manages, supervisors and develops senior leadership team and other assigned staff in such areas as: evaluation and research; program development; engagement and outreach; communications and administration
4. Directs research and evaluation of worksite wellness programs
5. Approves, modifies, or disapproves studies/programs recommended by subordinate employees.
6. Plans and carries out activities to develop effective coordination between the research/programmatic efforts of WorkWell and other City initiatives and priorities.
7. Participates and presents at conferences, meetings, seminars, etc., on the planning and development of worksite wellness.
8. Oversees and manages the administration of the department including procurement, contracting and expense tracking
9. Provides regular reports to OLR leadership and other key stakeholders (ie- Municipal Labor Committee)
10. Leads team development and enrichment efforts, including staff meetings, learning and engagements tools.
11. Develops and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to further the WorkWell NYC mission and work, including agency leadership, industry partners, union leadership, etc.
