Sports Data Analyst (Part-Time Virtual Internship)

Job Title: Sports Data Analyst (Internship)

What is Sports Data Now?
SDN is a Philadelphia based (virtually operated) startup focused on leveling the playing field that sportsbooks and fantasy apps have over passionate sports fans. We are building a marketplace that connects casual sports bettors with skilled experts looking to grow their brand – all through data. Upon connecting, bettors and experts can do business together in hopes of achieving more success while sports betting.

What Are We Looking For?
SDN is looking for a sports data analyst who is creative, passionate about sports, and has at least a basic understanding of data analytics/visualization. We are open to bringing on both non-technical and technical students that are simply passionate about sports and data and want to get involved at a young startup! We are looking for these individuals to assist the SDN development & marketing team to help us build a robust system tracking bets for users. This student would work in our admin dashboard and interface with our database by entering bets, identifying actionable trends, becoming an account manager for a subset of customers, and would assist the SDN team by providing feedback and actionable advice to provide value to customers. More opportunities may be available where-ever the startup needs.

Preferred Skillset
Non-technical or technical students with at a minimum:
·       Strong communication skills
·       Basic understanding and passion for sports and sports betting
·       Must love data!
·       Excel
We would also love for this individual to be passionate about what we do and allow them to contribute to our vision and product. We are a very easy-going team made up of current and recently graduated students and are looking to take our startup to the next level with your help!

This internship will start as soon as possible and will take up 8-10hrs per week of your time. Internships may be completed for college credit by working with your college, for valuable resume experience, or after an initial successful working period, SDN may be able to work out a contractual based obligation to employ you as long as interested! This is an entirely flexible position where you can work on your own time at any hour you want. The only thing we ask is for you to always ask questions when you are unsure and to hit the deadlines that we agree upon!

If you are interested, please reach out to!
