Chemistry Production Technician

Biocoat is a global leader in manufacturing, applying, and developing hydrophilic coatings for medical devices. Our team needs a Production Technician! The technician will perform manufacturing operations for medical device coating products according to Good Manufacturing Practices, ISO requirements, and appropriate regulatory agencies.

Compensation range: 50000-55000

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
·      Manufacture coating products in a cleanroom according to specifications and production standard operating procedures
·      Ensure the completion of ERP transactions in an accurate and timely manner to maintain inventory accuracy
·      Accurate completion and review of quality documentation (BPRs, logbooks, etc.). Bring any concerns regarding quality to the manager with suggestions on how to fix the issue(s)
·      Identify possible deviation occurrences and help with investigations
·      Complete training requirements according to the timeline
·      Monitor and communicate any raw material or equipment issues
·      Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements and provide solution

Qualifications & Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or similar science-related field is preferred.
  • Experience in a technical discipline with a minimum of 1 year of lab experience or experience in a science related manufacturing, process development or production environment is preferred. The experience can include internships and summer work.
  • Ability to operate in a cleanroom and laboratory environment
  • Strong focus on safety and customer service
  • Self- starter, organized
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow written procedures
  • Computer literate - Microsoft Office package, email, internet, spreadsheets
  • Ability to operate in a small company environment

Physical Requirements
Physical Demands-Stooping, turning, bending, squatting, kneeling and the ability to lift to forty pounds, ability to reach seven feet without assistance; constant/repetitive standing; requires normal, correctable vision and hearing, and the ability to accurately discern color as necessary to perform job functions.
