I loved the team I worked with. They were super flexible with the hours and times that I was working.
What I wish was different
I originally was working 20 hours per week during school and that was too much for me. I went down to ten and liked it much more.
Advice
Outreach and Engagement internships at Riverside are great for people interested in social work/clinical psychology or public health.

Youth Programs Intern

What I liked
I enjoyed learning about the world of nonprofits and being in an office environment with similarly driven people. I also enjoyed the nature of the work for the most part; I was able to go through all of the company's materials and edit them and I also compiled lists of potential clients and created reports based on the feedback of current clients.
What I wish was different
I would have liked more project-based work that was not centered around list-builds--a research element would have been satisfying.
Advice
This is a small, tight-knit office and making friends with your coworkers is a fun experience! In terms of the workload, it is relatively light and there is a lot of freedom to explore the many facets of the company.
