Job Summary:   

The registered nurse promotes and restores patient’s health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patient, visitors, and families. 

Education Requirements:

Required:           Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Preferred:          Bachelor of Science in Nursing from accredited nursing program

Licensure  Registration Requirements: Current NY licensure as a Registered Nurse 

                                           

Certification Registration Requirements:

All nurses- BLS upon hire or within 3 months,  ACLS – Within 1 year of hire 

Emergency Department-PALS, ACLS, NRP – Within 6 months of hire

OB- NRP – within 12 months of hire, STABLE – within 12 months of hire

Surgical Services-Pals – Within 6 months of hire

Required Experience

ED – One year of acute clinical experience

Preferred Experience

Surgical Services and ICU – Six (6) months of acute clinical experience
