About the job

TCS is a fast-growing leader in healthcare facility maintenance, dedicated to providing exceptional service and results to our large healthcare partners. Over the past twelve years, our entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence have propelled us forward.

We are seeking an Account Manager in the Kansas City Metropolitan area to lead the development and oversee the success of environmental service outcomes within customer accounts. This role will work closely with the TCS Kansas City team as well as other regional teams in retaining and developing opportunities with clients.

As an Account Manager, you will work to retain accounts providing support, feedback, and guidance in achieving successful outcomes for a wide range of client’s needs. On a daily basis you will manage, recruit, and oversee relevant partners in order to build well-rounded and reliable teams covering a full scope of Environmental Services. A majority of your day will be spent inspecting, discussing, and managing accounts in person. As a TCS Account Manager, you’ll go above and beyond in your service by providing effective hands on solutions to requests that include a wide variety of service related skills. Many situations may include aspects of physical labor in order to quickly provide resolution to daily problems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote long-term retention and loyalty with clients through developing and maintaining strong relations by ensuring exceptional cleaning outcomes, consistent satisfaction, addressing concerns proactively, and executing service requests promptly.

• Demonstrate and apply thorough knowledge of industry guidelines and other relevant Environmental Services (EVS) regulations, ensuring all practices meet or exceed compliance standards for safety, cleanliness, and infection control throughout a variety of healthcare environments.

• Provide guidance, support, hands on training, and growth opportunities to Environmental Services (EVS) staff, creating a network of teams focused on high performance cleaning outcomes, and service excellence.

• Ensure operating rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness by conducting weekly early-morning inspections and offering real-time feedback and support to EVS teams in order to ensure cleaning outcomes exceed regulatory expectations.

• Perform comprehensive weekly inspections of medical facility accounts with a focus on strengthening client relationships, proactively identifying potential issues, and gathering actionable feedback to drive continuous improvement in cleaning outcomes.

• Identify EVS project work opportunities and needs, communicate the value, and manage the execution, ensuring smooth delivery and alignment with client expectations.

• Maintain a working knowledge of billing systems, invoicing procedures, and service cost analysis to support financial accuracy, client satisfaction, and budget-conscious decision-making.

• Proactively schedule and utilize hours to identify and complete self-directed initiatives demonstrating an entrepreneurial mindset. A key ongoing initiative will be researching and identifying qualified EVS subcontractors in current and potential service regions.

Who You Are:

• Adaptable and Flexible: You thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments, quickly adjusting to schedule and service changes while handling challenges with a calm, humble, solutions-oriented mindset.

• Client-Focused: You understand the importance of client relationships and have a track record of retaining clients through excellent service and proactive engagement.

• Strong Communicator: You are comfortable communicating with diverse groups, from front-line staff to senior leadership, and can clearly articulate needs, concerns, and recommendations.

• Self-Motivated & Accountable: You take initiative and hold yourself accountable for both team performance and personal responsibilities, always striving to exceed expectations.

• Hands-On & Engaged: You enjoy being actively involved in day-to-day operations, whether it’s performing inspections, providing training, or stepping in to support your team. You’re also willing to step in and assist with cleaning tasks when needed, demonstrating humility and setting the tone for a strong, supportive team culture.

• Entrepreneurial Initiatives & Growth Opportunities: While the core of this role focuses on direct account management, especially during morning hours, the position also involves self-directed project time in the afternoons. We are looking for candidates who bring an entrepreneurial mindset and are comfortable identifying ways to add value beyond daily assignments.

A key focus during this open time will be researching and sourcing qualified Environmental Services (EVS) subcontractors across the regions we operate in. This involves strategic thinking, networking, and independent problem-solving to help expand and strengthen our service network. The ability to self-manage and seek out opportunities for growth is essential for success in this role.

If you are ready to take on a pivotal role in a growing company and make a tangible impact, we want to hear from you. Apply today and let’s build something exceptional together!
