Student Intern

Job Description

Part-Time Student Intern will be responsible for assistance in the efficient operation of the office in a work-based learning setting.

 

Major responsibilities include:

  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks, including answering phones, managing emails, filing, scanning, and organizing documents.
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter and update client and caregiver information in our database system.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain and organize confidential client and employee files in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Communication: Greet and assist visitors, manage incoming and outgoing mail, and help coordinate communication between caregivers, clients, and office staff.
  • Scheduling Assistance: Support the scheduling team by assisting with minor scheduling adjustments and confirmations.
  • Special Projects: Assist with various projects as needed, such as preparing for audits, organizing training materials, or conducting basic research.
  • Office Maintenance: Help maintain a clean and organized office environment, including managing office supplies inventory and restocking as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as Healthcare Administration, Business 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion (HIPAA compliance).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Responsible for all other duties and task as assigned by the supervisor.
