Physical Therapist needed.   Full-time or part-time available.  For more information please contact Human Resources at 620-492-6250 ext. 124 or applications are available at the admitting office at the hospital located at 404 N Chestnut, Johnson KS. EOE

 

Responsibilities

1.         Maintain proper licensure of self and staff.

2.         Administer patient care per State and Federal regulations and according to protocols established within the industry in conjunction with Medical Staff.

3.         Monitor billing to ensure billing standards are being met per State and Federal regulations.

4.         Develop and administer department budget.

5.         Ensure hospital policies and procedures are adhered to.

6.         Assist in providing appropriate in-services to hospital staff when appropriate.

7.         Maintain appropriate equipment and supplies necessary to deliver quality services and ensure equipment is maintained in proper working condition.

8.         Perform or supervise appropriate clerical duties of the department.

9.         Perform appropriate Quality Assurance monitoring and reporting in accordance to Hospital QA/QI plan.

10.       Ensure patient confidentiality is maintained.

11.       Attend hospital meetings and in-services as appropriate.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy or physical therapy assist program

as recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association and the Kansas State 

Board of Healing Arts.

 

Must hold an active license/certificate to practice physical therapy in the State of Kansas.

 

Must hold a current CPR certification.

 

Special knowledge or skills must be commensurate with education and training for providing physical therapy services.

 

Prior experience in acute care, long term care and outpatient care therapies highly

desirable but not mandatory.

 

Must present a neat and professional appearance and demonstrate positive communication skills with patients/clients, public and staff.
