Camp Counselor
JD McCarty Center/Camp Claphans is looking for individuals who are interested in working with children in a camp setting as a camp counselor.
Camp Claphans is a summer camp designed for children with disabilities. A camp counselors role includes, but is not limited to, supervising campers, ensuring their safety, and leading engaging recreational and educational activities (sports, crafts, outdoor adventures) while acting as a positive role model, resolving conflicts, and communicating with parents, all to foster a fun, inclusive, and well-developed camp experience.
With the amazing population of children that we serve at Camp Claphans, we need to ensure that we have enough camp staff to provide a 1:1 camper to staff ratio. With this unique camping experience we need energetic, fun, and encouraging staff to join our team!
