Software Developer Intern

Job Summary
As a Software Developer Intern at Home Care Delivered, you will contribute to meaningful technology that supports our customers in living at home with confidence and dignity. In this role, you will work alongside experienced engineers to learn full‑stack development practices, including design, coding, testing, and integration, and gain hands‑on experience with the systems that power a fast‑growing, purpose‑driven organization.
This internship is designed to help you build practical skills, explore modern development tools, and understand how software supports real business operations in the healthcare space.
What You Will Do
Working closely with members of the technology team and other business units, you will:
Learn and apply modern development environments, frameworks, and tools.
Assist in the design, development, and testing of new or existing internal applications and integrations, including API development.
Contribute to coding tasks under guidance from senior engineers, with an emphasis on writing maintainable and reliable code.
Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and team discussions to gain experience with agile development practices.
Help improve internal processes by learning and applying automation techniques.
Practice test‑driven development principles with support from your mentors.
Support a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellent delivery.
Education / Experience
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Coursework or beginner‑level experience with one or more programming languages (such as Python, C#, PHP, or JavaScript).
Familiarity with basic web or mobile development concepts is a plus.
Strong interest in learning about APIs, data structures, and cloud‑based systems.
An ambitious self-starter, with a willingness to learn, ask questions, and collaborate with others.
