Quality Compliance Intern

Job Summary: 

The Quality Compliance Intern will support the Quality Compliance team with the Materials of Concern (MOC) process. The intern will play a key role in engaging directly with suppliers to obtain compliance declarations, improve response rates, and strengthen supplier understanding of TMC’s expectations. This position offers hands-on experience in regulatory compliance within the medical device industry while contributing to meaningful improvements with obtaining compliance evidence for critical regulatory requirements such as EU MDR, EU REACH, and California Proposition 65.

 

Job Details: 

 

  • Partner with Strategic Procurement and EH&S to identify supplier contacts.
  • Work directly with suppliers to secure compliance declarations.
  • Develop a follow-up and escalation strategy for non-responsive suppliers.
  • Track and report progress on requests and submissions
  • Support Quality Compliance with MOC Review Committee meetings and correspondences. 
  • Document compliance evidence and support reporting activities

  • Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented with strong tracking, documentation, and follow-up abilities.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Interest in or basic knowledge of regulatory compliance in the medical device industry.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data tracking and reporting.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify barriers to supplier responsiveness and propose practical solutions.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates accountability, reliability, and eagerness to learn in a regulated industry setting.

 

  • Background Experiences 
  • Current undergraduate pursuing a degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Environmental Studies, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
