Clinical Intern

You will serve as a clinical intern in the orthopedic surgery and sports medicine practice of Dr. Piers Barry.

Highlights include interviewing patients, observing and recording physical examinations, assisting with imaging and injection procedures, helping with assessment and plans for treatment, and coordinating after-visit care.   You will serve as a scribe and learn how healthcare providers document care.  You will also generally assist in the clinic and help to improve the practice's workflow.  Excellent experience for pre-health gap year students.

There is an opportunity for observation in surgery.  Large exposure to clinical decision making and daily life as a physician. 

Progressive learning and gradual increase in responsibilities and workload. 

Requirements:

• Positive attitude and eager to learn.  No prior experience or certification necessary.
• Graduating seniors in college (Class of 2026), or post-graduate students seeking clinical experiences.
• Able to commit full-time for a minimum of 1 year.  Longer commitments are welcome.
