Our Summer Internships will allow you to work on a substantial project with one-on-one guidance from one of our many expert Scientists. You will have the opportunity to network with other students with the same career interests as you in our program as well as get exposure to senior leaders in our company. And you’ll get paid while you learn!  
 

Responsibilities

Join the Regulatory Affairs function to drive innovation in claims review. This internship focuses on building a centralized, AI-powered Claim Validation Manual to bridge the gap between complex global regulations and product launch claims. The goal is to transition the team from a reactive to a proactive model, providing a self-service tool for instant, evidence-based regulatory feedback.  Key responsibilities include:

  • NotebookLM Environment Architect: Serve as the main architect of the NotebookLM environment.
  • Content Management: Create the Notebook, upload relevant regulatory and claims source documents, and establish a working document structure.
  • Project Execution: Lead the initiative to move the Regulatory Affairs function to a self-service, proactive model by the end of the summer.

Required Skills & Mindset

  • Regulatory & Scientific Literacy (reading comprehension)
  • Basic understanding of the differences between cosmetics and Over-the-Counter (OTC) drugs
  • Understanding of how to use AI (specifically NotebookLM)
  • Analytical & Critical Thinking
  • Communication & Empathy for Marketing stakeholders

 

Preferred Qualifications

This role is open to students with an interest in the intersection of regulation, science, and technology.

  • Graduate Students:
    • Masters in Regulatory or Cosmetic Science (preferred)
    • Law students interested in cosmetic/drug regulations
    • Chemistry/Pharma students looking to learn the business/compliance side of the industry
  • Undergraduate Students:
    • Computer Science

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge/experience with NotebookLM academically.
  • Regulatory/cosmetic science

Requirements:

  • Authorization to work in the United States for any employer required
  • Ability to work the required hours of the Summer Internship 10-week program - Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day at the Piscataway, NJ Technology Campus
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 towards your science related degree
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
  • Self-starter with high degree of independence 
  • Proficiency in Google tools (Sheets, Slides, Documents)
  • Desired Majors: Regulatory or Cosmetic Science

 

Summer Intern Program candidates residing beyond 50 miles of our Piscataway, NJ location may be eligible for a one-time, lump sum relocation stipend, if assignment requires physically working in the Piscataway Technology Campus.
