Dairy Manager
Department: Management / Milking Operations
Supervisor: Farm Owner

Summary: Oversee the entire dairy operation to ensure healthy cows, safe milk, and efficient workflow.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
•Works with Herd Manager to oversee herd and herd health.
•Supervises milking procedures, and daily operations.
•Manage dairy staff and daily schedules.
•Monitor feed, water, and bedding for cows.
•Coordinate breeding, vaccinations, and veterinary care with the Herd Manager.
•Maintain equipment, barns, and milking parlor standards.
•Track milk production and quality.
•Ensure compliance with safety and animal welfare standards.

Skills & Qualifications:
•Experience managing dairy operations and staff.
•Knowledge of cow health, milking procedures, and nutrition.
•Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
•Good communication with employees and vets.
Physical Requirements:
•Long hours on feet, lifting up to 50 lbs.
•Work in barns, weather, and around livestock.
Work Environment:
•Barns, milking parlor, and outdoor farm areas.
•Exposure to dust, manure, and noise.

Schedule:
5–6 days (40-50 hours) per week, early mornings and evenings required.
