Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in providing therapeutic services to young children with developmental challenges and/or physical disabilities. The PTA works collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to create a supportive learning environment that promotes each child’s independence and success.
Duties
- Provide hands-on care, including administering therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Monitor progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and progress notes in compliance with medical standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and rehabilitation practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Previous experience in acute care or outpatient clinic settings is advantageous.
