Internship Description: The Technical Writer assists with creation, editing and updates documents including technical specifications and user guides, business cases, case studies, research papers, and grant writing.
Responsibilities: The Technical Writer Intern will explain scientific and technical in simple language, write technical direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, scientific research papers, grants, marketing specifications, create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals and ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.
Qualifications/ Requirements: Preferred someone who is majoring engineering, sciences (biology, physics. Chemistry, etc.), or technical writing/communications/journalism. Some experience required. Preference for upperclassmen (junior, senior), graduate students, and post doc with at least 1 yr. experience.
