Clinical Informatics & Innovation Discovery Intern (Remote / Part-Time)

Commitment: 3-5 hours/week (Flexible, asynchronous) 

Compensation: Unpaid / Eligible for Academic Credit or Experiential Learning

About the Role: InterConnect Techs is seeking motivated undergraduate or graduate students to support market discovery and clinical research initiatives.

In this role, you will assist in identifying key industry stakeholders, mapping clinical reporting workflows, and conducting qualitative customer discovery based on National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps frameworks. This position provides practical, hands-on experience in translational research, stakeholder engagement, and real-world evidence ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and map prospective stakeholders across clinical research networks, academic institutions, and healthcare organizations.
  • Conduct professional outreach to schedule 20-minute discovery discussions with researchers, managers, and operational specialists.
  • Document qualitative interviews, capturing clear notes, direct quotes, and workflow bottlenecks.
  • Maintain structured interview tracking logs and synthesize recurring themes.
  • Support ongoing research sprints aligned with regional and national innovation programs (including NSF I-Corps).

Qualifications:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Healthcare, Business, Communications, Social Sciences, Data Analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong written communication, professional outreach, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and comfortable working independently in shared spreadsheets or digital tracking tools.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and interested in qualitative research and problem-solving.
