Sales Representative & Marketing

J2S is a provider of pre-owned medical equipment, replacement parts, and repair services for healthcare organizations across the United States to deliver cost-effective, high-quality biomedical solutions.

We are looking for a highly driven and ambitious intern to fill our Inside Sales Representative & marketing role to help expand our customer base. This internship provides hands-on experience in sales, marketing, CRM management, and business operations within the healthcare industry.

Internship Overview:

As an Inside Sales representative, you will play a key role in cold calling potential customers within an assigned territory or market segment to generate leads and create sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with a hunter mentality — a highly motivated self-starter who is eager to learn, persistent, and driven to succeed.

This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain real-world sales experience, with the ability to follow leads from initiation to close. The intern must be able to accept rejection, maintain a positive attitude, and find learning opportunities in every situation.

Performance-based opportunities are available for interns who excel in this role, including marketing projects, CRM and website development, outside sales support, and participation in trade shows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cold call hospitals and healthcare organizations to generate leads and introduce J2S’s products and services.
  • Identify decision-makers and qualify potential customers within an assigned territory or market segment.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach, interactions, and follow-ups in the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Accept rejection with resilience and maintain a positive, goal-oriented mindset.
  • Work closely with the sales manager to share lead information and assist in closing quotes.
  • Assist in creating repair authorizations, sales orders, and quotes, and communicate with customers about order/repair status.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including email campaigns, SEO, website development, branding, and trade show planning, based on performance.
  • Participate in outside sales efforts, including client meetings and industry events, based on performance.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to learn with a hunter mentality.
  • Strong communication skills, with confidence in making outbound calls.
  • Someone who can troubleshoot and think critically about a given situation.
  • Ability to handle rejection positively and stay persistent in lead generation.
  • Interest in sales, business development, marketing, or the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting while collaborating with the team.
  • Prior experience in sales, customer service, or marketing is a plus but not required.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands-on experience in sales, lead generation, and customer acquisition.
  • Exposure to CRM, sales techniques, prospecting, pre-call planning, quoting, and call cycles.
  • Exposure to a variety of medical devices such as infusion pumps, syringe pumps and patient monitors.
  • Direct insight into small business growth, healthcare supply chain, and strategy development.
  • Opportunities to work on marketing, website development, branding, and trade show planning.
  • One-on-one mentorship and professional development training.
  • Potential for a full-time position based on performance.
