Product Development Summer Intern

We are a global chemical company and one of the nation's leading manufacturers of agricultural products. Our Hannibal plant is built to manufacture high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and environmentally sound manner. We occasionally have the need for contingent labor, and that's where you come in.
We’re currently seeking high-performers to work inside our state-of-the-art laboratory under the direction of a skilled mentor in Agricultural Products Process Development.
The scope of the job will include working on multiple projects with process chemists, including support of BASF's blockbuster fungicide Revysol, new herbicide Tirexor, and KIXOR herbicide, via process improvements, analytical standard synthesis, and waste reduction. Daily duties will include sample preparation, calculations, running reactions, using analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and HRGC, and maintaining a laboratory notebook. A final summary presentation will be required at the end of the internship.
You must be a chemistry major with undergraduate research experience or a previous internship, or previous organic synthesis experience.
This job pays an hourly wage for a 40-hour week, depending on your years of work experience and school completion, plus an additional housing stipend for each month. Located along the banks of the Mississippi River between Hannibal and Palmyra, Missouri, our 1600-acre manufacturing site is home to some of the world’s finest crop protection products.
