THE CITY OF LEAWOOD, KANSAS is looking for a
Seasonal Oxford School Docent
Under the supervisor of the Cultural Arts Supervisor, the Oxford School Docent will portray a Schoolmarm/Schoolmaster for the historic Oxford Schoolhouse; presenting the history of the schoolhouse and region through specialist programs to visitors of all ages.
General Responsibilities
- Presents programs to visitors of all ages, ranging from young children to adults who are interested in learning about the history of the schoolhouse and region.
- Must be willing to work in costume when at the Oxford Schoolhouse.
- Assists the Cultural Arts Supervisor in conducting research on the historical site.
- Assists the Cultural Arts Supervisor with other Cultural Arts special events.
- May assist the Cultural Arts Supervisor with developing programs to be presented.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years in an undergraduate degree program with an interest in history, education or related field.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per the City’s drivers Use of Vehicles for City Business policy throughout employment with the City.
