Position Summary
We at Bristol-Myers Squibb are seeking to hire a highly motivated individual to join our Discovery Immunology team located in Lawrenceville, NJ. The successful candidate would join a group dedicated to identifying therapeutic targets in inflammatory diseases and developing cutting-edge technologies towards understanding biology and validating therapeutic targets. Uncontrolled inflammation in autoimmune disorders leads to both disruption of the epithelial barrier and pro-fibrotic response. To understand the crosstalk between the key cell types driving tissue homeostasis, 3D and 2D culture systems that mimic human autoimmune disease need to be developed. The candidate will learn about cell culture and 3D culture techniques relevant to autoimmune diseases and will apply various techniques including but not limited to gene expression, protein expression and fluorescence imaging to validate target biology. Additionally, the candidate will have opportunities to work collaboratively across disciplines, understand drug discovery process and contribute meaningfully to pursuit of novel therapies towards treating patients.
Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate in the development of novel 3D organoid co-culture models for epithelial barrier function and fibrosis in the context of autoimmune diseases.
- Learn and optimize immunofluorescence assays for analysis of 3D organoids in the context of inflammation and fibrotic stimulus.
- Maintain an electronic record of all experiments and resulting data.
- Analyze, summarize and present findings as and when to appropriate forum
