Paid Social Insurance Policy Internships: Medicare and Health policy, Aging and Disability policy, and Workers' Compensation research and policy
The Academy is uniquely qualified to provide students with challenging opportunities and experiences that cannot be found anywhere else in the country.
Our program covers seven distinct internships that are named to honor Members in a particular field of social insurance policy:
- Leeba Lessin Internship on Health and Medicare Policy (for first generation college students)
- Merton Bernstein Internship on Social Insurance
- Somers Research Internship on Long Term Care and Aging
- Eileen Sweeney Graduate Internship in Disability Policy
- Rashi Fein Internship in Health Policy
- Congressman Pete Stark Health Policy Internship
- John Burton Internship on Workers’ Compensation Research and Policy
Applications will be accepted electronically through the respective application deadlines.
Finalists will be notified in March of 2024. All finalists’ references will be contacted, and finalists may be invited to a video interview in advance of selection.
Only complete applications will be considered by the selection committees for placements in Washington, DC that begin in June 2024.
