Analytical Scientist Internship - Summer 2024

A career in US/North America R&D where none of us stand still.

 

Help to develop innovative products for the North American market using the latest analytical techniques. 

 

The lab-based role involves running automated analytical equipment to study and predict the release of active pharmaceutical ingredients from products within Haleon's pain relief portfolio using in-vitro models. These models will help Haleon develop the next generation of superior pain relief products
 

You’ll be active in the lab and working with a cross-functional team of pharmaceutical R&D scientists.

 

The candidate will get real-world experience working in a modern pharmaceutical R&D lab.

 

What will your individual contribution at Haleon be?

  • Train on and run automated analytical equipment that studies the release of active pharmaceutical ingredients from drug products (also known as dissolution experiments)
  • Assess release profiles of drug products in simulated gastric and intestinal media
  • Document experiments in an electronic notebook.
  • Using the drug release data, collaborate with Haleon R&D scientific subject matter experts to build predictive in vivo models for the products
  • Share findings within the Haleon R&D community

To enable you to perform in this future talent opportunity:

Education required:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in the chemical or biological sciences
  • Candidate must be eligible to work on a full-time basis during the internship duration
  • 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA

 

Other requirements:  

  • Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization.  Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status .

 

Program Dates: Between May/June - August 2024
