Job Summary:

  • Horizon is hiring interns in Behavioral Health who are interested in learning all about Managed Care and being part of a new and existing startup company. This is an opportunity of a lifetime to see how an organization is built.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertakes an internship designed to provide on-the-job training and experience.
  • Engage in various work assignments, projects, and activities of varying complexity, structured to enable the intern to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform at a professional level
  • Assist Implementation Managers with functions to support a large project including IT and clinical design build
  • Day to day activities which includes but not limited to development of desk level procedures, workflows, participation in meetings and documentation
  • Assisting with creation of business requirement documents and so much more
  • Receive training and mentorship in planning and carrying out activities and assignments
  • Undertake and/or participates in projects and programs designed to develop professional skills and expertise appropriate to the needs of the organization
  • Execute multiple assignments in an efficient manner
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Requires High School Diploma
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree 
  • Entry Level Role
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to execute tasks with a sense of urgency
  • General Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Interest in Behavioral Health and Healthcare

 

Location: 3 Penn Plaza Newark NJ – Hybrid Work Schedule

Schedule: 8am-5pm (9 hour work day with lunch)

Duration: 11 week Summer Internship Program (June 2, 2025 – August 15, 2025)
