Medical Device Logistics Coordinator Intern

Summary of Responsibilities: A medical device logistics coordinator intern is responsible the organization, packaging, inspection. Inventory and transport of orthopedic, podiatric and medical devices within the territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitates on-time delivery of products to customers.

Ensure set and/or trays are delivered and retrieved for each surgery and the trays are properly stocked and maintained 

Managing, reconciling and maintaining set instrument and implant inventory levels. 

Strictly adheres to all laws and PSL policies regarding the interaction with Health Care Professionals, product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training. 

Build and maintain beneficial relationships with surgeons, physician assistants, nurses, technologists, key administration and purchasing personnel, they interact with. 

Complete all educational courses required by the manager.

Learn extensive product offerings and understand the appropriate anatomy and biomechanics that constitute the field of orthopedics and podiatry.

Other duties may be assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in an accredited institution. 

GPA minimum of at least 3.0

Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future

Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm

Strong knowledge and/or ability to learn human anatomy.

Work weekends, evenings, and holidays as surgeries require on an emergency basis.

Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy.

Willing and capable of carrying weights up to 25 pounds, independently.

Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day

Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance
