
Physical Therapist Assistant

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at McPhee Physical Therapy. In this role, you will collaborate with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in their rehabilitation journey, and promote a supportive and effective healing environment. Your contributions will play a key role in helping patients regain mobility, improve function, and enhance their overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
- Conduct therapy sessions for patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques.
- Guide patients through exercises and rehabilitation activities, applying knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress, document treatment sessions, and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on therapy techniques, home exercises, and post-treatment care to support long-term recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care using proper medical terminology.
- Ensure a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment by following all established safety and sanitation protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals as needed, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation cases, to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation.
- Experience in outpatient physical therapy preferred.
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and team members.
- A patient-centered approach, demonstrating empathy, encouragement, and a commitment to achieving rehabilitation goals.
