Logistics and Distribution Change Management Intern

Job Summary:

The Logistics and Distribution Change Management and Training intern will help ensure that all documentation for our medical devices meets regulatory requirements and is clear and accessible to both internal teams and associates. This position will work closely with engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, and quality assurance team members to gather technical details and simplify complex information into clear documentation. Additionally, you will assist in improving document control processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency. Attention to detail is essential, as your work will help maintain compliance with ISO and FDA standards. The L&D Change Management & Training Intern will prepare a final presentation on assigned topic and will present to the leadership team at end of the internship program.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating, editing, and organizing technical documents like manuals, procedures, and specifications.
  • Work with team members to collect technical details and present them in easy-to-understand documents.
  • Help update existing documents to meet current regulations and standards.
  • Ensure all documents are correctly formatted and managed in the document control system.
  • Attend team meetings to support product development and documentation planning.
  • Provide feedback to improve the clarity and usefulness of documentation for end-users.
  • Learn and share document control processes to support team success.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 
  • Basic understanding of technical writing principles and techniques for creating clear and concise documents.
  • Awareness of regulations in the medical device industry, such as ISO standards and FDA requirements (a plus but not required).
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn document control systems and version management processes.
  • Interest in technical concepts, especially in areas like engineering, regulatory affairs, and quality assurance.
  • Basic technical writing skills to assist in creating, editing, and maintaining documents like manuals, procedures, and specifications..
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn document management systems to ensure proper formatting, version control, and accessibility.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineers and regulatory staff.
  • Interest in learning usability testing methods to help improve the clarity and effectiveness of documentation with enthusiasm for sharing knowledge in understanding document control practices.

Abilities:

  • Skill in collecting technical information from different sources and organizing it into clear and structured documentation.
  • Ability to review and update documents to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and adherence to guidelines in all documentation.
  • Willingness to participate in team meetings and support product development and documentation efforts.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality work.

Background Experience:

 

  • Current undergraduate student majoring in a bachelor’s degree program in Technical Writing, Engineering, or Business Administration discipline.
