Job Title: Home Maker/ CNA / PCA / HHA (PAID Clinical Hours/Internship)- Comfort Keepers of Stoneham

As a Home Maker, you will play a crucial role in helping seniors and individuals with various needs maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. This role involves a combination of caregiving and homemaking duties to ensure our clients can enjoy a safe and comfortable living environment.
Responsibilities:
Companionship:
- Provide companionship, engage in conversation, and offer emotional support to clients.
- Accompany clients on walks, social outings, and medical appointments as required.
Homemaking:
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean and organized living space.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals, following any dietary restrictions and preferences of clients.
- Perform laundry and assist with basic clothing care as needed.
Personal Care:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence care, if required.
Medication Reminders:
- Prompt clients to take their medications as prescribed, in accordance with their care plan.
Mobility and Exercise:
- Encourage and assist clients with mobility exercises and activities that promote physical well-being.
Safety and Monitoring:
- Maintain a safe environment for clients, identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate action to prevent accidents.
- Keep detailed records of services provided and any changes in the client's condition.
Communication:
- Regularly communicate with the client, their family, and the Comfort Keepers team to provide updates and ensure the best care possible.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to follow care plans and guidelines effectively.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (if required for the role).
