Speed Strength Coach / Exercise Physiologist (FT/PT)

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Entry-Level Exercise Physiologist to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to design and implement evidence-based speed, strength, and conditioning programs for youth athletes in our new state of the art speed and strength academy. The ideal candidate will also be capable of adapting programs for apparently healthy and special populations, including older adults and individuals with chronic health conditions, to improve overall health, mobility, and quality of life. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and lead individualized and group-based speed, strength, and conditioning programs for youth clients.
  • Conduct fitness assessments and track progress to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Modify exercise programs for individuals with special considerations, including older adults, those with chronic diseases, or physical limitations.
  • Provide education and coaching on proper exercise technique, injury prevention, and healthy lifestyle habits
  • Maintain accurate records of fitness assessments, progress, and program updates.

Qualifications:

  • Stay up to date with current research and trends in exercise science, youth development, and special population training.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, or related field
  • CPR/AED certification (required).
  • Certification from an accredited organization (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, NASM) preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months. (Preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with youth athletes and/or special populations through internships, practicums, or volunteer work.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages and backgrounds.
  • Passionate about fitness, performance, and helping others reach their potential.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Knowledge of youth athletic development and Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) models.
  • Understanding of chronic disease management, especially in older adults (e.g., arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular conditions).
  • Comfortable with technology used for tracking performance metrics.
  • Strong communicator, self-starter, and a skilled leader who can translate vision into action and work collaboratively with our other departments and programs

Work Environment: 

  • Combination of gym/training and Speed & Strength center
  • Will require evening or weekend availability depending on program schedules.
  • This role will involve working closely with athletes, parents, coaches, and healthcare professionals to ensure a training program programs are in line with performance, goals, and injury prevention strategy
