Private Equity Analyst - MedTech

Our mission is to build a large public company by acquiring and integrating advanced, high-growth businesses that are shaping the future of precision healthcare.

We are seeking a Private Equity Analyst to support our M&A team by researching acquisition targets, analyzing company profiles, and building internal diligence reports that will directly inform investment decisions.

Role Summary

The Private Equity Analyst will play a key role in identifying and evaluating acquisition candidates in targeted healthcare and AI sectors. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and research capabilities, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for innovation in medical technology.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Research and evaluate private companies in sectors including medical robotics, surgical devices, AI/ML healthcare software, advanced diagnostics (devices and consumables + AI), and medical hardware
  • Complete structured diligence templates for each acquisition target, including financial metrics, product overviews, leadership profiles, and funding history
  • Identify founder-led and venture-backed businesses with potential alignment to EntelMed’s strategic objectives
  • Analyze market segments for consolidation potential and competitive differentiation
  • Summarize key findings and deliver concise, actionable investment memos to senior leadership
  • Track outreach efforts and coordinate follow-up with acquisition targets in collaboration with the deal team

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate development, or consulting (exceptional recent graduates considered)
  • Strong research and data analysis skills, including the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with healthcare or AI/ML sectors is strongly preferred
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear, structured outputs for decision-makers
